What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a form of therapy undertaken by trained and qualified practitioners to restore movement and function to a person who has been affected by injury, illness or disability.

A holistic approach to treatment, it considers the whole body rather than one aspect of a person, and also gives patients the information and skills they need to stay in control of their own care and health.

Suitable for people of all ages it can include treatments for bones, joints and soft tissue, such as back and neck pain, post surgeries treatment, and ultimately encourages better movement of the body.

Insight and advice
Our physiotherapists provide you with general knowledge on treatments and techniques, covering basics including posture that may help with your physical well-being.
Tailored exercises
Once more is known, you will be recommended exercises specific to you and your treatment, to improve your overall health.
Manual therapy
This is where our physios use their training and skills with their hands to carry out treatment sessions with you either at our premises or on a home visit.

You may have been advised by your GP, done your own research online or been recommended by someone you know who has benefited from physio.
